In December of 1970, the first Li’l General Convenience Store opened on Cumberland Hill Road in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. This marked the beginning of a local success story based upon personalized service and careful attention to customer needs by offering people everyday necessities that were needed quickly and were value priced.

Within the first year five stores opened within Woonsocket. This rapid expansion was due to the initial premise that the products and service offered at Li’l General Convenience Stores were incomparable to other competitors within the same marketplace. Particularly popular were their extended store hours, fresh, well stocked produce, outstanding deli department, hot coffee, danish, hot soup, fresh salads, and much much more!!

Since 1970, Li’l General Convenience Stores have opened more locations within Rhode Island & Massachusetts and anticipate future openings within these same states and Connecticut.
