Chef Carlos culinary career began with several respected Manhattan restaurants including Aureole and Fresco before joining Oak Bluffs Sweet Life Caf, the Edgartown Yacht Club, and Dtente, also in Edgartown. As serendipity would have it, when the owners of Dtente bought Sweet Life Caf, Carlos accepted their invitation to return as Executive Chef.

Our thoughtfully curated beverage program pairs with each of Chef Carlos dishes and our special setting. With an enviable collection of more than 400 French wines and their varietal American counter-parts, Garde East patrons will discover their ideal pairing. We also offer a Classic Cocktail Menu and craft beer selection.

GPub, a modern gastro pub, opened in March 2014.

The space itself occupies the basement of the former Providence Gas Company and was designed around the buildings original 1920′s framework.

GPub features an eclectic mix of traditional pub favorites for food and drink, all of which are presented with an artisanal, made from scratch approach by our culinary team and bar staff.

The dcor features the rustic feel of raw materials blended with modern touches to give a warm and welcoming ambiance. Despite its historic past, GPub was designed to have all of the modern amenities including 17 LED TVs, billiards, foosball, air hockey and shuffleboard tables.

Great food and drink combines with a warm and inviting space to create the amazing vibe that is GPub.

Rhode Island-inspired Osteria & Salumeria

Sarto is a Rhode Island-inspired Osteria & Salumeria offering a creative and modern take on rustic Italian fare. Celebrating the history and bounty of the Ocean State, Sarto explores regional Italian cuisine as part of the fabric of Rhode Island its farmers, purveyors, and artisans.

The neighborhood-driven restaurant in the heart of downtown Providence, is in the historic brownstone Teste Building. Originally built in 1860, it once housed an apothecary, money-to-loan business and later the Philip Wolfe Haberdasher, inspiring the name Sarto or tailor in Italian.

This historic building had been preserved and the interior has been designed to match the restaurants overall concept a contemporary presentation of old world Italy, influenced by its Rhode Island setting. The restaurant has three unique dining settings: the main dining room featuring an open kitchen and classic deli, a bar and lounge area, and the soffitta overlooking the restaurant from the upper level perfect for private dining.

Sarto is led by Executive Chef/Partner Robert Andreozzi, a Rhode Island native. After graduating from Roger Williams University, Robert attended culinary school at Johnson and Wales University in Denver, Colorado. He went on to work at Blue Hill at Stone Barns and Del Posto Ristorante, before moving to Italy to further his knowledge of regional Italian cuisine at Orsone Ristorante on the Bastianich Vineyard in Fruili, Italy. Upon returning to the United States, he worked at Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder and has made his way back to Rhode Island to open Sarto.

Inspired by his passion for regional Italian cuisine and deep roots in Rhode Island, Chef Andreozzi has designed a menu that explores the long relationship between the two. A thoughtful wine list and an innovative cocktail menu have been curated to perfectly complement each dish. The restaurant will initially offer dinner Tuesday through Saturday, as well as a full service caffe for gracious and fast breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday.

In addition to its daily offerings, Sarto will host wine dinners and chef series throughout the year, and special events for New Years Eve, Carnevale, Le Vertu and Ferragosto. The restaurant and its spaces are designed to provide a tailored private dining experience for corporate, wedding and celebratory events.
