In the Fall of 1969, Ponciano Meza opened "Ponce's Mexican Restaurant" in San Diego, CA. With the help of his wife, Maria Meza, Ponciano built "Ponce's" into a successful family business -- with loyal patrons spanning generations. In the Summer of 2000, two of Ponciano's children decided to follow in his footsteps; siblings Rocio Meza and Ponce Meza Jr. took over the restaurant and subtly modernized the classically loved menu with fresh Mexican favorites and the addition of a full bar.
In 2011, Rocio Meza fell in love, got married and followed her heart to Portland, Oregon -- where she now resides. Trailing her family's long tradition of success in the restaurant industry, Rocio is excited to open a brand new "sister restaurant" to Ponce's in South East Portland, aptly called "Rocio's!"
